Torture Throughout the World

Freedom from Torture provides support to torture victims. 71% of their clients are from these countries: Sri Lanka, Iran, Afganistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Pakistan, Turkey, Cameroon, Nigeria, Iraq, and South Sudan

Morocco is not on their list, however, Morocco is in the top five countries with reported torture, according to Amnesty international. Several reports of torture have been made against law officials and the government of Morocco. Law officials are known to torture suspects in order to get a confession, even if the suspect has not committed the crime. The use of torture to obtain confessions then leads to unfair trials and imprisonment of the wrong person.
